New Hydropower Project in France

Hydropower remains a leading renewable energy source, providing a reliable and sustainable solution for electricity generation. One of our recent projects, the Haut Fournel hydropower plant in France, is now fully operational, efficiently utilizing Francis turbine technology to generate clean energy.

The Haut Fournel hydropower plant is designed to maximize energy production through two horizontal Francis spiral turbines. These turbines play a crucial role in transforming the energy of flowing water into sustainable electricity with:

Turbine I– 746 kW | 1.39 m³/s | 480 mm runner diameter
Turbine II– 372 kW | 0.70 m³/s | 380 mm runner diameter
Both turbines operate with  a head of 58,75 meters, ensuring efficient and consistent energy generation.

For this project, we supplied state-of-the-art hydropower technology, including the Francis turbines and key components essential for seamless operation.
