Puesta en servicio originalmente en 1999, la planta sufri\u00f3 da\u00f1os por un deslizamiento de tierra en 2003 y hab\u00eda permanecido fuera de servicio desde entonces. Tras su rehabilitaci\u00f3n, la planta ya est\u00e1 plenamente operativa y su capacidad ha aumentado de 0,5 MW a 0,7 MW para satisfacer las crecientes necesidades energ\u00e9ticas de la regi\u00f3n.  <\/p><p>La central de Moco Moco est\u00e1 situada en el arroyo Moco Moco, que forma parte del sistema del r\u00edo Amazonas, y cuenta con un salto neto elevado de 206,9 metros y un caudal de 0,22 m\u00b3\/s. La planta funciona con dos turbinas Pelton horizontales, cada una dise\u00f1ada para ofrecer una alta eficiencia en condiciones exigentes. Con las turbinas funcionando a 1.200 rpm, la planta proporciona ahora energ\u00eda renovable y fiable a la zona de Lethem.  <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element
